Master Sgt. Steve Thulon, a vocalist with the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America, sings with Steven Tyler, lead singer of Aerosmith, at a National League playoff game Oct. 14 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The two sang "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch. Sergeant Thulon finished up the break with "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." He said it was an experience he will always remember. Sergeant Thulon was scheduled to sing alone but when the St. Louis Cardinals staff saw Mr. Tyler in the crowd they asked him for an impromptu performance. The Air Force vocalist said he was honored to back up the rock star. "It was a true win-win situation for the Air Force," Sergeant Thulon said. "They threw me a curve ball, but I hit it out of the park." The St. Louis Cardinals represent the National League in the upcoming World Series against the American League's Detroit Tigers.
