WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio - Tickets will be available Nov. 9 for the United States Air Force Band of Flight free annual holiday concerts at the Dayton Masonic Center.

Concerts are scheduled for Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.

The theme of this year's concerts is "Traditions." This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Band of Flight presenting its annual holiday concerts at the Dayton Masonic Center. Many traditional and favorite songs of the season will be performed along with special guests, Musica! and Wittenberg University Choir.

Highlights will include "Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas" by famed movie composer, John Williams, excerpts from "The Nutcracker," and a finale including the popular symphonic masterpiece, "Russian Christmas" by Alfred Reed.

Additionally, military holiday greetings will be shared from deployed service members and Santa has promised to make a special appearance after the final Sing-Along. The concert will offer something fun and memorable for all ages.

The Band of Flight will reorganize to a 15-member unit in 2013, thus making the holiday concerts the final performances given by the Air Force Band of Flight Concert Band.

Though free events, tickets are required and will be available to the Wright-Patterson community at two ticket distribution centers around the base. For tickets, please contact the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Director of Staff's office (Area B), 937-255-1936; or the 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs office (Area A), 937-522-3252. There is a limit of four tickets per person.

Members of the general public who would like tickets should look for an ad in the Dayton Daily News on Nov. 9. Individuals can fill out the form and send it in with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to request tickets.
