TSgt Andrew Benton re-enlists in USAF Academy Band Published Feb. 28, 2008 By SMSgt Larry Hill USAF Academy Band Kabul, Afghanistan -- Technical Sergeant Andrew Benton of the USAF Academy Band re-enlisted in the United States Air Force during a ceremony at the Kabul Military Training Center (KMTC) on February 21st. TSgt Benton is deployed as a member of the Air Force Central Command Band's 'Live Round.' The ceremony was conducted by Colonel Bruce Bennet, Commander of the US Army Training Assistance Group at KMTC. Prior to the re-enlistment ceremony, 'Live Round' performed for over 200 US Army, US Air Force, British and Afghan Army personnel in the Mahmud Auditorium at KMTC. TSgt Benton is a native of Colorado Springs and has been in the USAF Academy band for four years. He is a 1989 graduate of Liberty High School. Following the current deployment, TSgt Benton will continue performing as a member of the Academy Band's 'Blue Steel.'
