Master Sergeant Howard Boots

Master Sergeant Howard Boots is a woodwind specialist and Senior Noncommissioned Officer of Musical Ensembles for the Air National Guard Band of the Mid-Atlantic. Originally from New Holland, Pennsylvania, his Air Force career began in 1985.

Master Sergeant Boots graduated from Pequea Valley High School in Kinzers, Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Millersville University, Millersville, Pennsylvania. He is a vocalist and instrumentalist with High Altitude and The Guardsmen combo.

Master Sergeant Boots currently resides in East Earl, Pennsylvania. In his civilian career, he is Elementary Band Director in the Cocalico School District. He serves as Director of the Lampeter Strasburg Community Band in Lampeter, Pennsylvania. An accomplished freelance musician, he has performed with The Temptations and The Four Tops.

Master Sergeant Boots enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1985, joining the Air National Guard Band of the Mid-Atlantic. He is a graduate of the Noncommissioned Officer Leadership Correspondence course and is currently enrolled in the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Correspondence Course.

Master Sergeant Boots's awards and decorations include the Air Force Achievement Medal and the National Defense Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars.
