The newly rekindled Guest Artist Series kicks off the Band’s 2018 season on Thursday, January 18 at 8 p.m. at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall & Arts Center. The concert will feature world-renowned tubist Patrick Sheridan.

A former member of “The President’s Own” Marine Band, in Washington, D.C., Sheridan is a tuba soloist, educator, and composer/arranger. He has performed more than 3,000 concerts in over 50 countries in venues ranging from the White House to NBA halftime shows to the Hollywood Bowl.

The Air Force Band’s Guest Artist Series was first introduced under Col. Arnald D. Gabriel in 1966 and has featured hundreds of world-renowned musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, Keiko Matsui, The Gatlin Brothers, Glen Campbell, to name a few.

Fans of the Band will remember that in past years the series was held at DAR Constitution Hall. A new era brings a new venue and new opportunities, as patrons will enjoy the Schlesinger Center’s free parking directly across from the Concert Hall. The concerts are free and open to the public but do require tickets. Tickets can be reserved on the Band’s Eventbrite website below, and all seats will be released to non-ticket holders 15 minutes prior to the start of each concert:
