Band of the Northeast Marches in 150th Gettysburg Memorial Day Parade

The Air National Guard Band of the Northeast's Ceremonial Band had the honor of participating in the 150th Memorial Day Parade in Gettysburg, Pa. on Monday, May 29.

The sounds of National Emblem March echoed through the streets of downtown Gettysburg as the band led the parade along Middle Street.

As the band turned left toward Baltimore Street, thousands of appreciative spectators cheered as the airmen steadily marched by.

The parade concluded at the Soldier's National Cemetery, the site dedicated by President Abraham Lincoln during his famous Gettysburg Address.

The Band of the Northeast last visited Gettysburg in 2015 for the 148th Annual Memorial Day Parade.

The unit's Ceremonial Band is comprised of various members of the concert band performs for military and civilian ceremonies, official functions and parades.
Following the parade, a ceremony was held at the Soldier's National Ceremony. Brig. Gen. Anthony Carrelli, Adjutant General of the State of Pennsylvania, was the keynote speaker.
