Following  Memorial Day weekend, the United States Air Force Band summer concert series kicks into high gear with more than 50 concerts throughout the National Capital Region. The series runs through mid-September as the Band celebrates the 70th birthday of the U.S. Air Force.

These free, outdoor concerts offer high quality entertainment for both tourists visiting the nation's capital and locals looking for entertainment the entire family can enjoy. Here's where you can find us throughout the summer.

U.S. Capitol Building
Tuesdays at 8 p.m., beginning June 6

Military bands have been performing on the steps of the U.S. Capitol for more than 130 years. The performances take place on the west side steps and offer spectacular views of the setting sun behind the Washington Monument. As the sun goes down and the city lights up, you'll quickly understand why these special performances have become such a long standing tradition. On-street parking is available after 6:30 p.m. The closest Metro stops are Capitol South and Smithsonian. For more information please visit:  https://www.aoc.gov/nations-stage/concerts.

Air Force Memorial
Fridays at 7:30 p.m., beginning June 2

The U.S. Air Force Memorial honors the service and heritage of the men and women of the United States Air Force. From the three stainless steel spires which soar 402 feet into the sky, to the beautiful granite walls surrounding the memorial, it provides the perfect backdrop for an evening summer concert. Besides the awe inspiring design of the memorial, visitors are also treated to picture perfect views of the Washington, D.C. skyline. This year, the concert start time has been adjusted to start 30 minutes earlier than previous years. For directions and parking, or to learn more about the memorial, please visit:  http://www.afdw.af.mil/afmemorial

National Harbor
Saturdays at 7 p.m., beginning June 10
No concert on August 5
