CWO4 (retired) David Hale plays Taps during Honor Flight performance
CWO4 (retired) David Hale has been playing Taps since 1934 when he was a boy scout. He played the bugle call during the performance for the Honor Flight DFW WWII veterans, who visited Historic Hangar II's Gabriel Hall. Mr. Hale was an Army Air Corps band director during the war (1942-47) and continued with the Air Force for a full 30 year career. (US Air Force photo by SMSgt Kevin Burns/released)
