Pacific Trends took to the road to perform for the Japanese in the Tohoku area with horn players from the USAF Band of the Pacific, Elmendorf, AFB (Part – 2).
Pacific Trends went on a 10 day road trip to Iwate and Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to perform a “Mega Band” show with members from the USAF Band of the Pacific, Alaska. The show consisted of rock band with horns for the first half, playing hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, to include songs from “The Carpenters,” “The Beatles”, and R&B classics, as well as Japanese popular songs. The inspired crowd danced to the “Twist” and “JB Goode”; all dancers received a copy of Pacific Trends’ latest CD. These friendship concerts were full of variety, and made a lasting impression on the Japanese public.
