Technical Sergeant Dandrick Glenn

Staff Sergeant Dandrick Glenn, bass trombonist for the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast, hails from Shelby, NC. He received a Bachelor of the Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina with a secondary major in Music. He also attended DePaul University in Chicago, IL. His primary instructors include Charles Vernon, Mark Fisher and Michael Kris.  He received additional tutelage from Dr. Tom Gibson, Andre Hayward, and Ronald Wilkins.

During his college years, SSgt Glenn performed with the North Carolina Symphony and the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra.  He shared the stage with the likes of Clark Terry, Dick Oats, Terrell Stafford, Louie Belson, Bob Brookmeyer, and many others.

Throughout his Air Force career, SSgt Glenn contributed to many community and international relations tours throughout the US, Japan, Korea, and Singapore.  He was a vital team member for Operations Season and Pacific Greetings, two USO style tours improving troop morale throughout Europe, Japan, and Korea featuring Blues Traveler and Hootie and the Blowfish.  In 2009, SSgt Glenn deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  SSgt Glenn has also had the privilege to perform for President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama as well as several foreign heads of state.
