Technical Sergeant Brandon Jones

Technical Sgt. Brandon Jones is the principal euphoniumist with the Concert Band, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Bremen, Kentucky, his Air Force career began in 2013. 

Jones obtained his Bachelor of Music degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. Prior to joining the Air Force, he was a music teacher at Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, TN and maintained a massive private teaching studio with students from Kentucky and Tennessee.

Jones is highly active as a soloist and clinician, having performed and taught at numerous universities, state conferences, and conventions all around the country. He currently holds the position of principal euphonium with Brass of the Potomac, a British style brass band based in Washington, D.C. Jones released his first solo CD entitled “Influences” in December of 2009 and received international acclaim. The disc was a finalist for the Roger Bobo Award for recording excellence with the International Tuba Euphonium Association.

Air Force career highlights include performing as a featured soloist for the 2020 American Bandmasters Association conference in Biloxi, MS as well as being a featured soloist on the Spring 2020 Concert Band tour throughout Kentucky and West Virginia. Other highlights include performing for the State Funeral for President George H.W. Bush, numerous performances on NBC’s Today Show, the 2017 Presidential Inaugural Parade, the 2017 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and arrival ceremonies for numerous foreign dignitaries at the Joint Base Andrews flight line, the Pentagon, the Air Force Memorial, and the White House.
